Emergency Response to Infectious Diseases

The University of Florida and the Student Health Care Center are prepared in the case of an outbreak of infectious disease, including but not limited to: H1N1 Influenza (swine flu); Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome; Smallpox Virus; and Avian Influenza A.

Our response plans fall into three categories:

  • Surveillance/Assessment
  • Prevention/Education
  • Surge Capacity/Pandemic Response

We encourage you to stay abreast of current health situations by monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) websites.
